PURRAIR2 was developed without the need for filters. There are no additional filter replacement costs, and simple maintenance keeps it in use for years.

PURRAIR2 uses plasma to ionise particles in the air, reducing a range of harmful substances.
Our own circuit design controls the fan and the plasma discharge current effectively, optimising the generation of plasma active species so that they act on harmful gases and odour-causing substances for powerful deodorising.

* What plasma is
When a high voltage is applied across two electrodes held a set distance apart, plasma discharge occurs. The electrons and ions produced, together with strongly oxidising reactive oxygen species (radicals) and other plasma active species, act on harmful substances and the causes of odour to deodorise and purify the air. This is what is meant by the plasma phenomenon.

Odour is a sign of harmful gases and bacterial growth. Placing PURRAIR2 alongside food continuously reduces harmful substances, and we found that it kept sliced bread fresher.

Rather than masking odour, the power of plasma reduces ammonia and even harmful gases such as formaldehyde and toluene.

The plasma method also keeps ozone generation to a minimum. The product has passed safety testing.
